Zune is one of the best media players around and one way to prove it is when you download songs for your Zune. It’s quite easy to get songs into your media player simply because it can get songs from practically all types of resources. This way, looking for compatible songs is made easier for all enthusiasts out there.

When you download songs for your Zune over the internet, you have the option of pay or free sites. When you go into pay sites, you have two options again: pay per song or pay for a one time membership fee. Each of these download options have their perks and downfalls. You will know about them later on. However, before you start your song downloading spree, there are some things you need to consider.

Whether you go to free or pay sites, there are some important things you should know when you start downloading songs for your media player. First, you need to know the file formats supported by your player. Zune only supports MP3, AAC or WMA files. This isn’t a problem, however, since it has available software that can convert unsupported formats to playable ones.

It’s safe to download songs for your Zune from pay sites. Aside from that, you are downloading legal files, ones that don’t contain harmful viruses. If you have to choose from the two payment options, choose the one-time subscription fee since you get to save a lot more with this option.

You’re better off downloading from pay sites since it carries no or low risk to contracting harmful viruses. Getting a media player of such quality is costly enough; you don’t need to add to the cost of repairing or cleaning your Zune from these viruses. Aside from that, free sites usually carry illegal downloads which should always be discouraged at all times.

Then again, if legal issues don’t seem to bother you, look at it in another way. There are a lot of faults when you download from free sites. These faults include mislabelling of songs and poor song quality. Your media player deserves the best in order for you to truly appreciate its features and capabilities.

Then again, you can always choose to rip music from your favorite CDs. You get to save money this way too since you already own the CD or can borrow from a friend. All you need is software and you’re good to go. You can listen to your favourite music using a much more portable player than the conventional CD player.
